Bit surprised for my Mercedes GLC 300 to be recalled for safety as wrong software had been loaded - it’s nearly three years old!!! Apparently it’s likely to cut out on the motorway 😱 Anyways. Had to take it into nearest dealer (Southport). They no longer do courtesy cars so had to wander around for half a day in the rain until it was done. Went to pick up car and all was done, and staff very helpful and friendly. But car was parked on pavement right by very busy road and seat was way out of adjustment. Assured car was in good condition and safety check all done which was good. I think mercedes need to provide a better service for safety recalls ie offer to collect the car or offer courtesy car.

Booked in at short notice and was well looked after whilst car was serviced - well looked after with coffee and biscuits. WiFi and desks available so managed to get some work done too whilst waiting 👍🏻

Had such a great experience buying a car from Henry at Mercedes Southport. I had to travel down from Glasgow to collect the car and he made everything so straightforward and simple for me. My first time buying a car over the phone / email and Henry made everything extremely easy. Thank you! I will be back in contact in a few years for an upgrade.

I have given the five-star rating for John McEvoy for his help and professionalism from start to finish. If it had not been for John, the order for two GLC Premium Plus vehicles would have been cancelled. However, if the stars were given for the finance department it would be a one star rating. The finance departments incompetence consisted of seven versions of the contract being sent out each time with incorrect increased prices. Then we were asked for previous addresses that we had not lived in for over 20 years. Due to the finance department obviously not knowing what is going on the delivery of the vehicles was delayed for over a week thus leaving us with insurance policies running and not being used. As a company we have purchased numerous vehicles from Mercedes over the last 13 years and never had we had to deal with this fiasco

I met with Mia to collect my new car and hand over the keys to my trade in. Mia was very polite, friendly and organised and took me quickly through the remaining paperwork required, explaining clearly what each document was. Having completed all of this Mia showed me around my new car as we checked everything was in order including extras that had been ordered. Mia offered but didn't need to explain the vehicle controls nor the infotainment systems as I was already familar having 2 other mercedes vehicles in our household previously purchased from MB Southport, but she did provide a nice surprise before I departed with some unexpected complimentary small gifts which was a nice touch. Overall an excellent handover experience. Many thanks Mia!

After the death of my children’s father we were faced with the overwhelming prospect of sorting his Mercedes car out in regard to having a fault fixed and didn’t know where to turn . I phoned the Southport Branch as that is where the car was always serviced and was met with compassion and support from the moment I called . The lady who called me back was so kind and signposted me to Peter . Every step of the way Peter has been there for us as a family , advising and most importantly, arranging for the car to be taken and brought back from the Workshop . Although I haven’t spoken to the Service Team we want to say a massive thank you for all your help. Peter , you have guided us through a very difficult journey , thank you for all your help and support.

Tried to give a factual, honest and none emotive review The interactions(s): I mostly spoke with two representatives, Harry & Asha when buying the car and another lady who's name I can't remember on the initial inquiry. The car was a GLA 2021 premium plus - 32K miles - 1.3 base petrol engine. I enquired via the website and within a couple of hours got a video walkaround of the car - nice start. I called and said I live in Nottm and did not really fancy driving to Southport, so asked if the car could be transferred to Nottingham MB - Initially the answer to that question was yes, but later changed to no on a second interaction - not a good start! - but they did offer to deliver it for free if I purchased the car - small wins I guess. Decided to progress with the purchase, asked about (part)finance and part ex with some case balance. They took details of the P ex car, tried to up-sell extended warranty etc. Asked for the £ for the P Ex and how much the warranty was and to provide a quote for the finance being very specific how much I wanted to loan and over what period. P Ex came back about £500 light (IMO) or I would have done the deal there and then but because of that I went away to consider options. The following day, found the car on the website had been reduced by nearly £500 so I immediately put the £199 down to secure the car - irony being I was happy with the price of the car, not the P ex. if they had done the deal the day before they would have been no worse off and had a car to resell. Decided to keep my other car for now (even though they did increase the offer by £150) and proceed with the purchase using my own finance from the bank because MB sent through 4 quotes none of which were what I asked for! Asked a number of things about the car, one being the MOT / Service History etc. Initial response on the MOT (Asha) was that it was March 25, which I pointed out was not the 9 month min for a MB used car (as per their website), she initially asserted that it was nearly 9 months (which of course it's not, it's only 4), we agreed that it would be MOT'd for the year. The Service History was emailed to me by Harry- all good on that front. MB then provide the price of the add ons which I took, went through a lot of paperwork electronically and from this point it was pretty plain sailing with good comms from Harry in particular. The car was delivered quickly and by a very chirpy chap. The car: arrived clean, with a couple of minor paintwork chips, probably to be expected for it's age. The interior was also clean, although the passenger side seat belt was showing signs of mould - this should have been addressed before being dispatched. It also did come with a 12 month MOT but on the MOT it said the car had a RECALL, why that was not addressed whilst it was with MB Southport?, shows a lack of due diligence/customer car in general! I now have to take it to the Nottm branch to get sorted - that is annoying! It is a lovely car though, nice to drive and everything so far appears to works. Positives: * Communication - good, especially from Harry * Car price dropped £500! * Video walkaround * Free and quick delivery - delivery guy was great. * It's a very nice car Room for improvement! * Conflicting answers around the car being moved from one MB dealer to another - feels like a training issue, needs to be consistent * P ex valuation too low (I know this is subjective!) * When someone is clear what finance they want, provide a quote for what they have asked for * MOT should be checked to make sure it matches what is being promised on the website * Any recalls really need to be dealt with by the selling dealer BEFORE the car is despatched * The car needs to be looked after to make sure things such as mould do not occur I think 3 stars is fair reflection overall
