I visited the branch for a browse and was greeted by Ella, a helpful and knowledgeable sales person with a refreshingly realistic approach. Thanks to her assistance, I left with a quality used car. Within 24 hours, a fault emerged, but the branch addressed it promptly and efficiently. They were mindful of my time constraints and ensured a courtesy car was available while mine was being repaired. I don’t judge a company on whether problems arise; I judge them on how those problems are handled. On this occasion, the issue was managed exceptionally well, giving me complete confidence and assurance in the company. Thank you!

Updated review. Original review……Only purchase JLR products if you are a gambler. 2 of my 4 JLR products in the last 6 years have had issues which have taken months to fix. While the last two cars were bought from another dealer, I came back here for my latest problem as the other dealer was hopeless. I was given 2 choices from an honest but brutal service advisor. 1) take the loan car while my car goes “straight to the back of the queue, and we cannot give you ANY indication of time”, although when I pushed him he thankfully admitted it could be around 8 weeks. 2) book my car in, take mine home now and wait for the appointment, which is 10 weeks away. I took the latter, obviously. The loan car is NOTHING like my car. So, the new premises is very smart, and quite large and cost several millions to build. However, there are not enough service bays or mechanics to handle the large volume of JLR products arriving daily. I’d say whoever decided not to insist on a bigger workshop is the person who needs to be front of house explaining to customers why their cars are at the back of a very long queue, not the stressed out service people. So basically, my advice is don’t buy a JLR in the first place. Statistically you have a high chance of it developing a fault and this garage will tell you, that you just have to be patient because they are too busy fixing everyone else’s car. It’s as simple as that. Update…..Originally i gave a 1 star review, which reflects the unacceptable wait time for the service dept to deal with issues on the cost new £100,000 product I own and bearing in mind prices start at 50k and go up to over 300k. Not acceptable. You should rent another garage. You should employ more technicians. Don’t make us, the customer, feel guilty when we complain about the queue, when all we want is our car fixed. It’s not our problem you’re too busy and haven’t built a big enough garage, it’s yours. But thank you for your honesty in telling me my car would have sat 8-10 weeks. So fast fwd, and the repair went well. Very organised and on the ball. Drive in service reception was amazing. Car fixed within the day. No charge. So they redeemed themselves on the great service level. However, still not good that i had to wait months for a simple fix. Hence 3 stars 👍

I took my evoque into Group 1 today, the reason was a recall for bolts to be replaced on the steering rack. I have to say how impressed I was with the service I received although I was not a paying customer. In the past I have always considered they are far too pricey for my wallet but after this experience I can’t take my car anywhere else. They even washed and cleaned the inside of my car. Thank you group 1, I’ll be back. John

Fantastic service. I've had bad experiences in the past, but my experience since they've changed to Group 1 has been nothing but positive. Bought a car from another dealership, had issues almost immediately. Booked into Norwich, great communication from Gavin, got the car back weeks earlier than expected with it in better condition than when I bought it - and the handover was better than when I bought it as well. Even carrying out a couple of jobs free of charge as a gesture of goodwill, despite not selling the car to me in the first place. The valet left the car looking fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience this time - extremely happy that this is my local if this is the level of service I can expect going forward. Thanks Group 1. Appreciate your efforts.
