Recently popped in to see the new line up. Was helped by Millie who was so helpful, finding the right car for us while we went shopping. Millie did everything to make the process smooth even with rather tight timelines.

Bought an approved used car from them. Within hours it had several problems. Had to keep bringing the car back for weeks to get several issues fixed. What an approved quality!! Months later nearside rear air suspension failed. They changed it to a new one they said. But couple of years later the same nearside rear suspension failed again. When I pointed out that it was a new suspension they had replaced earlier, they said that last time it was the far side rear suspension that was changed. They lied. On one occasion, brought the car to the garage to get one thing fixed and when I took the car back, within hours, the parking sensor failed. It was never faulty. The only explanation is that they harvested a good working component from the car and replaced it with a faulty one. Had to pay a lot to get that sensor fixed again. Problems after problems after problems. What a shame.

4 Days for 1 Tyre – Returned in an Unsafe Condition. Avoid BMW Reading. I dropped my vehicle (BMW i4) off on Tuesday morning for a simple tyre replacement. It was not returned until Friday lunch time with one tyre at 1.6 bar (2.5 bar expected). Lewis and Jess kept misleading about when will the vehicle be ready and tried to cover up.

I had a very disappointing experience at Group 1 Reading BMW. I visited on 16th December 2025 to get a valuation for my BMW 520d (2015). The car arrived in full working order and was parked normally. However, while the vehicle was in the dealership’s care and moved by their driver, I was then informed that the car would no longer start. What was most disappointing was the lack of support afterwards. Apart from one jump-start attempt, I was simply told to book a paid diagnostic appointment several days later. No immediate help, no proper investigation, and no goodwill support were offered — despite the failure happening on their premises. I later contacted the dealership formally in writing on 18th Dec 25, hoping they would review the situation and respond appropriately, but I never received any reply. This experience fell far below the level of customer care I expected from BMW. I would have appreciated at least some accountability, assistance, or even a response. Very disappointing.

I usually avoid this dealership for past issues anyway but got called in for a airbag recall so I went against my better judgement. Drive my car in the morning with no issues with the clutch sticking at all only to have a call later to say the work was done on the airbag (and still no mention of any issues of the clutch). Only upon collecting my vehicle with still no mention of any issues with the clutch. Then after driving out of the car park and getting no more than 30 meters down the road thaty clutch is sticking to the floor. I instantly turned the car around and spoke to an advisor then two managers to be told it's a coincidence that it just stopped working while in their possession. Not only did this make me late for my plans for the day but then to be told there is no courtesy car, and nothing they could do. So now their telling me I need to bring the car back on Tuesday so now more time off work causing loss of earnings and also ruined my weekend with my child. Definitely won't be having them do any other work on my car as this is the 3rd time my cars come back with more issues than what it went it with. Not to mention having a full service and MOT done on Monday and it's been driving absolutely fine.

In January I part exchanged my BMW 128ti for a BMW X1 30e. I was looked after by Dan Markham (Sales Executive) who was exceptional. From start to finish Dan made the purchase enjoyable, easy and informative. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Since taking delivery of the X1 I have had a couple of questions about the car and on all occasions Dan has responded in a very timely manner with the answers to those questions. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Dan.

Ordered parts paid for them parts were never ordered tried for 6 months to get my money back will never use them again now use a different bmw dealer and parts are cheaper as well as them telling bmw reading are notorious for taking money and not ordering parts

Following an MOT on 2 January, an alert prompted me to return the vehicle to your center for a health check. Despite the vehicle being with you for nearly five weeks till today, most frustratingly, your service team has repeatedly provided me with false timelines over the last few days. Excessive Repair Time: It has been over 1 month, and I am told the vehicle is still in the "final checking" phase. This is an unreasonable length of time for a diagnostic process. Lack of Mobility: Despite my vehicle being covered under a BMW Insured Warranty, I have been informed that no courtesy car is available. This has left me stranded and unable to conduct my daily life, which is unacceptable for a brand of this caliber. Uncertainty: To date, I have no idea if this repair will take another week or several months.
