What Does a CUPRA Service Include?
Our CUPRA specialists check over the vital parts of your car to make sure everything is safe and working. Depending on the level of service needed, the following may be checked:
- Engine oil
- Oil filters
- Air filters
- Lights, tyres, body and exhaust
- Steering, brakes and alignment
- Fluid and coolant levels
- Suspension and shock absorbers
- Battery
CUPRA Service Intervals
CUPRA has only been its own brand since early 2018, so all CUPRA cars are relatively new. There are two main types of servicing available: LongLife service (Flexible) and Fixed.
CUPRA Fixed service
CUPRA Fixed servicing is recommended if you:
- Drive under 10,000 miles a year
- Make frequent short journeys
- Carry out high engine-load driving (up hills, towing trailers, with passengers)
- Drive at high RPM and accelerate/brake hard
With fixed servicing, you need to get your car checked after the first 20,000 miles or two years, whichever is first, then every year or every 20,000 miles.
CUPRA Flexible service
H3 Copy
Flexible servicing is for CUPRA cars with LongLife engine oil.
Your dash will alert you when it’s time for an oil change service, thanks to technology that monitors engine oil levels. This will be, at most, two years or 20,000 miles in.
Inspection services are also needed after two years or 20,000 miles from new, then every year or 20,000 miles.
With both servicing types, you’ll need to get your car serviced every 20,000 miles or once a year. The main difference is with LongLife engine oil - models with this will alert you when it’s time for an oil service.
The below table is just a guide. Your actual service intervals depend on your model, engine, year, driving style, driving environment and annual mileage.
CUPRA Model | Service Intervals |
CUPRA Leon service intervals | Every 20,000 miles or 12 months - whichever comes first |
CUPRA Ateca service intervals | Every 20,000 miles or 12 months - whichever comes first |
CUPRA Leon Estate service intervals | Every 20,000 miles or 12 months - whichever comes first |
CUPRA Formentor service intervals | Every 20,000 miles or 12 months - whichever comes first |
