Optimise Your Electric Range

Whether you’re going for a CUPRA EV or a CUPRA PHEV, there are some easy ways you can make your car go further. Below are the three main considerations when it comes to maximising electric range.

Temperature & Weather

Very hot and very cold weather directly affects your CUPRA’s electric range. If you’re driving in temperatures of -5°C or above 35°C, your electric range will be slightly reduced which will be reflected in the instrument cluster. This is something to keep in mind if you’re off adventuring.

Climate Control

Using the air conditioning or heating when you’re out driving will affect the battery’s power. That’s why CUPRA suggests pre-acclimatising the cabin of your CUPRA car before you set off. The cabin will be the perfect temperature as you get in with no need to draw power away from the drivetrain.

Driving Modes

Make the most of your CUPRA hybrid and electric car with driving profiles. The RANGE profile, for example, reduces power consumption in order to maximise your range. This includes adjusting the climate control and acceleration.
