Inchcape UK are proud to be supporting The Queen’s Green Canopy, a tree-planting initiative to mark her Majesty’s Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee.
Our team will be planting trees across the UK throughout 2022 and 2023, and as a Group we will also be contributing to the Woodland Trust in support of this initiative. This will help to create a green legacy of its own, with every tree planted bringing benefits now and for future generations.
What is The Queen’s Green Canopy?
Inchcape UK are proud to be supporting The Queen’s Green Canopy, a tree-planting initiative to mark her Majesty’s Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee, by planting five new trees in Derby.
The first trees have been planted on Orient Way, Pride Park, aside the Inchcape Toyota and Lexus dealerships. Additional trees are being planted in Leicester and Shrewsbury to create a green legacy alongside our dealerships, with every tree planted bringing benefits now and for future generations.
Justine Bates, HR Director at Inchcape UK, said: “We’re delighted to be planting the first of many trees in a commitment to sustainability and the environment.
“Having commemorated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee last year at our dealerships, the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative is another way for us to positively honour her reign, whilst also bringing benefits for our local communities, wildlife and climate, now and in years to come.”
The trees are being planted with the help from local councils in areas our dealerships operate, and in addition we are contributing £5,000 to the Woodland Trust in support of this initiative, who will plant additional trees on our behalf.
